Wisconsin – Hunt for the killer of a 10-year-old girl, is underway who was found dead on the nearby walking trail in Wisconsin, the police chief warns residents to stay on alert.
According to the police officials, Lily went to her aunt on Sunday and never returned home.
“Wisconsin police discover the remains of a 10-year-old-girl 12 hours after her father reported her missing, claiming the child had to visit her aunt’s house a few streets away,” a source Tweeted after the girl’s remains were found in the woods.
After her missing report, investigators found Lily’s bike by a walking trail in the woods, near her aunt’s house, says the police.
The next day, around 9:15 am, officials found the little girl’s dead body by a walking trail in the wooded area, revealed Chippewa Falls Police Chief Matthew Kelm during a press release.

Kelm further reported that officials are considering the incident as a homicide investigation.
“Police are investigating her death as a homicide,” KPLC Tweeted.
During the Monday afternoon’s press conference, Kelm said no suspect has been taken under custody yet. However, police are investigating the area’s nearby residents and urging them to be ‘extra vigilant.’
“We encourage anyone with information to please contact the Chippewa Falls police department — and maintain a state of vigilance as there may be a danger to the public,” Kelm stated.
