Wisconsin – a deputy was shot in foot pursuit while conducting a traffic stop on early Wednesday morning.
He was shot multiple times while the suspected shooter fled the scene on foot.
According to the reports, the sheriff’s deputy was conducting a traffic stop in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the area of S. 68th Street and W. Adler when a passenger in a vehicle tried to flee on foot who was pursued by the deputy.
The deputy chased him near Adler and 64th but sustained multiple gunshots.
The deputy remained conscious while he received first aid treatment around 3:30 am local time.
The suspected shooter is still at large, though his vehicle and the driver’s license are taken into custody. It is assumed that the suspected shooter will be dangerous and armed.
A “shelter in place” notice was released to all the mobile phones in Milwaukee in order to look out for the suspect as he is considered to be armed and must be avoided.
Milwaukee police department and West Allis police department are also assisting in the search of the suspected shooter.
An alert has been released regarding the shooter and the suspect is said to be blackmail who has a skinny build. It is said that he has no coat on but is wearing a black t-shirt.
