Certainly, by ‘tighter and electric‘ Oscars 2022, Dave Rubin did not mean this!
American activist and policymaker, Rep. Ayanna Pressley deleted the Tweet that she wrote in support of Will Smith for slapping Chris Rock, after the comedian joked about Jada Pinkett’s hair at the Oscars.
“#Alopecia nation stand up! Thank you #WillSmith Shout out to all the husbands who defend their wives living with alopecia in the face of daily ignorance & insults,” Tweeted ‘The Squad’ member who currently herself suffers from the autoimmune condition.
The Massachusetts Democrat Rep. Ayanna Pressley, further added in her Tweet, “Women with baldness are for the real men only only [sic]. Boys need not apply.”
Shortly before winning the ‘Best Actor’ award, Will Smith called out Rock for making fun of his wife, Jada Pinkett’s bald head.
Earlier during one of her interviews, Jada Pinkett Smith opened up about suffering from Alopecia.
“Jada, I love you, ‘G.I. Jane 2,’ can’t wait to see it,” said Rock, citing the 1997 post showing a bald Demi Moore making efforts to join the forces.
Smith slapped the renowned comedian in the face at the Sunday event and yelled “Keep my wife’s name out of your f–king mouth,” twice, before returning to his seat.
Pressley who tweeted in support of Smith and later deleted it to condone her rage. She talked about her condition during an interview in 2020 saying, “In the fall, when I was getting my hair retwisted, is the first time that I was made aware that I had some patches”.
She added, “From there, it accelerated very quickly.”
The American politician further said, “I’m very early in my alopecia journey. But I’m making progress every day. And that’s why I’m doing this today.”
“It’s about self agency. It’s about power. It’s about acceptance. It’s so interesting to me that right now on this journey, what I feel the most unlike myself is when I am wearing a wig. So I think that means I’m on my way,” she concluded her statement.
Chris Rock has allegedly denied filing against the SAG 2022 award winner for the act so far. “The LAPD says Chris Rock has declined to file a police report after Will Smith slapped him at the #Oscars,”a source Tweeted.
