Riverdale actress, Vanessa Morgan, famous for her role as Toni Topaz on the show, has announced the birth of a baby boy.

According to E! News, her estranged husband Michael Kopech was also present with her and they are both delighted by the news. They have not released any details about their child, the name of the baby boy and the exact date of birth are not known as of yet.

A while before she welcomed her son, she shared on social media that she’s taking maternity leave. She also continued to thank her showrunners and producers for cooperating with her and making her character on the show pregnant as well. She also added that she was proud of herself that she was able to work for 9 months even though she was pregnant.

She also posted another video on her social media where she was dancing with snakes with the caption that she couldn’t wait to show her child what his mother was up to before his birth.

Morgan frequently updated her followers on Instagram about her pregnancy, posting photos of the nursery and the gifts for her baby.

News of her pregnancy first broke out in July last year when she shared photos and videos on her social media. A few days after her pregnancy announcement, it was reported that after a year of dating and six months of being married, Kopech had filed for divorce.

The couple has not revealed any details about the reason for their divorce, however, Morgan verified that the father of the baby was Kopech. He has not appeared in any of the photos Morgan has posted after her pregnancy and hasn’t commented on the announcement as well.

The actress has been sharing all of her milestones on social media, sharing a picture of a sonogram in August with the caption joking that he was a kicker along with ‘#bigfoot’.She also expressed that her baby has been a source of immense joy for her and also gives her a feeling of greater purpose.

She also hosted a baby shower in October that was Halloween themed and many of her Riverdale co-stars were present at the party. She was dressed up in a skeleton costume, a painted skeleton face, a blonde wig, and blue butterflies on her stomach to indicate that she was pregnant with a baby boy.
