Valerie Bertinelli and Tom Vitale have finally finalized their divorce, and the actress is just too happy about it.
The celebrated actress shared her joy on Twitter on Tuesday, which she referred to as the “second best day” of her life.
The former star of “One Day at a Time,” who is now 62 years old, can be heard in the video gushing, “My lawyer just called.” “The papers are all signed. They’re about to be filed.
“On 11/22/22, I am officially f–king divorced,” Bertinelli continued. “Happily divorced. Finally. It’s finally over.”
The Emmy winner exclaimed, “Yes!” and said “happily divorced” in the video.
Her post on social media came exactly one year after she initiated the divorce process against Vitale, whom she had married in January 2011.
After winning the Golden Globe, Valerie went on to file for divorce in May and, four months later, she sold her wedding ring together with her Jimmy Choo shoes that she wore at the ceremony.
“Dropped a few things off,” Bertinelli wrote via Instagram in September. “A couple of Tiffany rings that have some bad memories attached and a pair of shoes I wore to a wedding in January 2011 😉.”
The alum of “Hot in Cleveland,” who started dating Vitale in 2004, was previously married to Eddie Van Halen from 1981 to 2001. Their marriage lasted for a total of 17 years. (Their divorce was completed six years after it had first been filed.) Prior to their divorce, the former couple welcomed their son Wolfgang, who is now 31 years old.
