The results of a recently conducted poll highlight the fact that there are groups of people who do not want to get vaccinated any time soon. The Republican voters and Trump supporters are among those groups.

Many Trump supporters are still skeptical about the COVID-19 vaccine. The number of Trump supporters is a staggering 35 million to be precise. All these people have voted not to get themselves vaccinated which makes almost 17% of the adult population of the United States.

Overall, the result of the poll was very encouraging. The Americans are gearing up to get themselves vaccinated. Almost 67% of Americans have either been vaccinated or are planning to get vaccinated. The USA has purchased enough vaccine shots already to cover the entire population and plans to have them all vaccinated by this summer.

Almost 10% of President Biden’s supporters claimed that they won’t get themselves vaccinated.

Trump supporters had already opposed the mask mandate and the restrictions on businesses. They have been mocking all the necessary steps taken by the Biden Administration right from the beginning. Many of the supporters claimed that they were skeptical about the coronavirus vaccine, and the whole process was ridiculous.

Ironically, all those states which have removed the mask mandate have a Republican governor.

The poll showed a decline in the hesitancy among the Black and Hispanic communities. Initially, people belonging to these communities were not interested in getting themselves vaccinated. But now the situation has changed, and more people from these communities are getting ready to get themselves vaccinated.

According to Dr. Anthony Fauci, almost 70 to 85% of the population will be vaccinated to achieve herd immunity. It will be difficult to reach out to them based on the poll results which evidently show that Trump supporters are still reluctant to get vaccinated. On the other hand, Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump had already got themselves vaccinated during his tenure.
