Travis Scott is excited to announce his collaboration with one of the most widely spread fast-food chain, McDonald’s. Although it is not quite common in McDonald’s tradition to introduce celebrity-branded meals since this collaboration is happening after almost three decades.
Back in the year 1992, McDonald’s collaborated with Michael Jordan and now after so long, the second celebrity McDonald’s will be collaborating with is Travis Scott.
Scott shared his views regarding the collaboration with McDonald’s in a press release. According to the press release reports, he was looking forward to this joint venture of Cactus Jack x McDonald’s. He further mentioned that the inclusion of raising charity in this collaboration.
Travis Scott was also found promoting this collaboration through his social media posts. He posted a picture on Instagram where he’s checking out different McDonald’s meal bags. The initial cost of Travis’s meal is going to be $6.
The Cactus Jack $6 meal will include fresh beef of Quarter Pounder with Cheese and bacon, medium fries with BBQ sauce, and a Sprite. The meal can be availed for a month through Drive-Thru and can be dined in as well.
According to Morgan Flatley, the Chief Marketing Officer, Travis Scott has grown up visiting McDonald’s in Houston and so he is fond of the meals. It is a huge opportunity for McDonald’s to be working with a musical icon like Travis.
Such collaborative initiatives can result in a mass audience attraction and profitable sales. Another major aspect of this collaboration is supporting charitable organizations.
According to a press release report, the company heads of McDonald’s are planning further strategies to initiate more opportunities for developing funds and charities for different organizations. These charitable funds will be raised during this one month of collaboration.
To make the Travis meal campaign ever more prominent, Travis’s record label Cactus Jack has launched customized T-shirts for the McDonald’s employees to wear during the sale month.
