Thursday’s episode of The Kardashians saw Kris Jenner getting all teary about her son-in-law’s thoughtful gesture!
In Thursday’s episode, The Kardashian fans finally will get to see what happened when Travis Barker, 46, who had been married twice, called Kris Jenner to take her permission to marry the Poosh founder, Kourtney Kardashian.
While recalling the emotional telephonic call before the Saturday Night Live debut with daughter Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner revealed that Travis made a special gesture as he asked Kourtney’s deceased father, Robert Kardashian Sr., for his blessings before proposing to his daughter.
“He asked for her hand in marriage, and I was like, literally, I want to cry now,” Kris stated during her makeup session in Kim’s dressing room. “It was so sweet and so tender. And then he said he went to your dad’s grave and asked your dad [for permission], and I just lost it.”
Teary eyed Kris added, “It’s all happy, I just wish your dad was here to see it. I can hardly believe that it’s the first time that she’s getting married.”
“That’s really crazy that she hasn’t been married before,” said daughter Kim Kardashian before bantering, “While I’ve had enough for all of us!”
Robert Sr. died at 59 in 2003 after being diagnosed with esophageal cancer. He shared 4 children with Kris Jenner – Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Rob Kardashian Jr and Khloe Kardashian.
Later on, in the show, the Kardashian sisters can be seen discussing how Kourtney’s ex Scott Disick would likely react to the engagement news.
Kourtney and Disick share 3 kids; Reign, 7, Penelope, 9 and kids Mason, 12.
“He’s gonna have a hard time, but … they can’t put their life on hold just to tiptoe around him,” said Khloe to host Ellen DeGeneres before officially appearing on the show.
“No, no, I don’t think so either,” DeGeneres replied. “I just think it’s gonna be [hard], especially because she said she didn’t want to get married.”
“That’s the part that I feel bad about,” said Khloe. “But I don’t know, you snooze you lose.”
Later, while heading to Santa Barbara for Kourtney’s surprise proposal, sisters Kendal and Kylie Jenner participated in the hot discussion.
“I wonder if Scott knows,” Kylie said.
While Kendal noted, “I know, it worries me sometimes because I just don’t know how stable he is right now,” and further said, “I haven’t spoken to him on that sort of a level in a long time, so I don’t know where he’s at in his mental health.”
Referring to Khloe’s earlier sentiments, “Kourtney obviously has to continue to live her life and be happy”, Kylie said.
In another story, Scott Disick claimed that Kourtney’s children were hurt as they were excluded from the proposal party.
