The famous Loki star, Tom Hiddleston got reportedly engaged to co-star and girlfriend Zawe Ashton after playing the role of a married couple onstage.
Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton played the role of Robert and Emma, a married couple in Harold Pinter Revival Betrayal back in 2019.
The couple got engaged recently and are planning to walk the aisle soon according to reports.
According to the sources, the couple graciously accepted congratulations from their friends at the 2022 BAFTA ceremony which took place on Sunday.
Beautiful Zawe Ashton tried to conceal her diamond engagement ring by draping it under a black handbag while wearing a stunning flowing chic pink dress.
However, the ring was visible in a selfie shared by her close friend AJ Odudu on her official Instagram handle.
Close friends revealed that Zawe has stated that she has no intention of working with her fiancé in the near future.
Zawe Ashton stated, ‘I’ve been working with Tom on stage for a year solid – every night – so now we need at least two years apart now!’
The stunning actress said that she has been switching her time between Los Angeles and London during the coronavirus pandemic.
‘I’ve got into period dramas late – everyone else is over them, but I only want to do them now. They are so freeing.’
Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton first met while playing their part in Betrayal back in 2019 and have kept their relationship hushed since then.
Tom Hiddleston previously dated celebrated singer Taylor Swift. The relationship, albeit a very brief one, was very high-profile, with a whirlwind romance making headlines throughout 2016.
Tom once stated ‘Everyone is entitled to a private life.’

My work is in the public sphere and I have a private life. And those two things are separate.’ The date of the wedding is not revealed and the close sources are still silent about the details but it is hinted that the wedding ceremony will hopefully take place in summer this year.
