Halloween Kills, the next installment in the trilogy and is all set to be released on 15th October just days ahead of Halloween. It is the new sequel to the original John Carpenter’s Halloween which was released back in 1978.

The 1978 thriller shows insane moronic killer Michael Myers on an escape rampage from a psychiatric ward. He goes after a lot of people who had been tormenting him for decades.

The movie was an instant hit with the masses and its next installment came in 2018. The 2018 flick was the first in the announced trilogy stating it to be a sequel of a 1978 movie.

The 2018 movie showed Michael returning to the town again this time trying to kill the entire town at once in the spooky Halloween season.

Halloween kills – the new sequel:

As stated above it is all set to be released on 15th October 2021 after much delay and postponement. The movie was initially scheduled to be released back in 2020 but due to the coronavirus pandemic., it was delayed till 2021.

Because of the delay, the third sequel of the movie – Halloween Ends will be released next year in 2022.

Halloween kills were premiered at the Venice Film Festival recently and it earned mixed reviews from the analysts and critics. David Rooney from the Hollywood Reporter’s stated “it is like a latex ghoul mask so stretched and shapeless it no longer fits”, whereas The Variety’s journalist Owen Gleiberman openly called the movie “a mess”.

There were some positive reviews as Asher Luberto from the wrap called the film “a textbook Halloween movie”.

According to the film critics, the film Halloween Kills takes almost the same route as the original Halloween flick, and the sequel Halloween II as Laurie Strode is stranded in the hospital while recovering from that fateful night of terror where Michael had made a return.

As announced a third sequel will be released next year so that means that the saga between Michael and Laurie is yet to offer more horror trampling of their story.
