Renowned Hollywood actress Thandiwe Newton has reportedly called it quits with her husband of 24 years and is heading towards rehab.

The 49-years-old starlet also quit her role in the Magic Mike movie, reports suggest she is struggling mentally amidst the separation from her husband Ol Parker.

52-years-old Ol Parker and 49-year-old Thandiwe Newton had been married for over 24 years and had three children.

Her team has confessed that she is not taking the separation easily and having meltdowns every now and then. They want to support her in these trying times as she is “in a bad place.”

Stressed out, Newton has reportedly sacked her agent in the UK after being with her for three decades.

The actress quit the movie, Magic Mike after having a scuffle on the set with co-star Channing Tatum over the recent Oscar awards ceremony.

The actress was replaced by renowned Hollywood diva Salma Hayek.

Production house Warner Bros released a statement that Thandiwe Newton had “made the difficult decision to step away from the production to deal with family matters.”

A close source revealed that “Thandiwe had been acting strangely on set, she has been very highly strung.”

The source added that her behavior “caused so much disruption, it became clear she couldn’t play the role. There is a lot going on in her personal life.

“She and her husband have separated. She seemed so stressed, that she even brought her two pet rabbits to her hotel for emotional support.

“She fired her UK agent of three decades, and then her US agent Gaby Morgerman flew in from Los Angeles to try to calm things down.”

Thandiwe Newton and Ol Parker got married back in 1998 and have daughters 17-year-old Nico, 21-year-old Ripley, and an 8-year-old son Booker Jombe.

The couple was last seen together in public while vacationing in Ibiza back in 2020.

Thandiwe had always spoken highly of her now-ex-husband and back in 2008, she had stated that the key to a good marriage is that “You have to always make time to be together, trusting your instincts and forcing each other to talk. It’s all about communication and working through difficult times together.”
