Stop “preying on Black positive families that are thriving” – Teyana Taylor Shuts down drug abuse and Iman Shumpert’s cheating allegations.
A few days back, a TikToker spread baseless rumors about a singer without explicitly mentioning her name, which fans assumed were pointing at Teyana Taylor. Now netizens are speculating that the ‘Do not Disturb’ singer might take legal actions against the famous Tik Toker.
“NOT ME, GIRL!: Teyana Taylor Shuts Down Viral Story That Claimed Her Husband Iman Cheated On Her Leading Her to a Drug Overdose – “Nobody Can Make Petunia OD on a Damn Thing”, Tweeted a source.
In question, the TikToker’s account @klatschhh encourages followers to submit “unconfirmed stories and parodies”. However, the names of both entities remain anonymous.
Recently, she uploaded a video in which the content creator was seen acting like a woman with her daughters, who watches her husband’s performance on Dancing With The Stars. Netizens have speculated that the allegations were possibly made against Teyana Taylor because Shumpert was featured on the show the previous year.
The visual content also stated that “a singer [overdoses on] candy after she learns that her husband cheated on her”.
Later, Taylor reportedly began shutting the allegations down, one by one, as the singer claimed that she had fired a member from her team.
“The person who sent in this CAP *ss TikTok story is a fool, the person who ‘re-enacted’ this CAP *ss story is a fool (she better have her court coin ready) but the people who believed the CAP *ss story are the biggest fools smh,” wrote ‘Gonna Love Me’ singer in a now-deleted post.
“NOBODY AND I MEAN ABSOLUTELY NOBODY CAN MAKE PETUNIA OVERDOSE ON A DAMN THING,” the singer added. “I’d kill @imanshumpert fine ass, put him in a nice suit and bury him my damn self before I EVER let him or ANYBODY to push me to do drugs or take myself out.”
After getting hit with allegations, the singer called the TikToker, ‘clout chaser’, and emphasized that “people need to stop preying on Black positive families that are thriving.” She continued: “We got bigger f*cking fish to fry here y’all. Get focused damn smh. Now carry on. Nothing to see here.”
Back in Nov 2021, the singer was also accused of supporting Travis Scott during the Astroworld controversy.
In response to that, she Tweeted, “R U serious for this headline??? 1: i made it clear that I always stopped my shows to help my fans. 2: I made clear BOTH ARTIST & STAFF SHOULD TAKE PROPER PRECAUTION to make sure everyone’s safe. 3: I barely even wanted to talk to you motha fuckahs. Always MISLEADING headlines”.
“Most importantly I mind my business. ALWAYS. It’s not my job to judge something I don’t have the full details on. This whole situation is a very sad and unfortunate, and my heart and prayers go out to ALL of the parties involved. But stop being fuckin mess TMZ. Messy asses”, she added in another Tweet.
