The Biden government came under heavy scrutiny and immense criticism after 46 immigrants were found dead in an 18-wheeler tractor-trailer.

The Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott has ferociously lashed out at President Joe Biden on the death of 46 migrants. The bodies of deceased migrants were found stacked on to one another in a tractor-trailer. It is suspected that it was a smuggling attempt.

The Republican Governor of Texas tweeted that, “these deaths are on Biden.”

“They are a result of his deadly open border policies,” he added. “They show the deadly consequences of his refusal to enforce the law.”

Other Republicans also joined Governor Abbott blaming the immigration policies of the Biden administration as the main culprit behind this tragedy.

Senator Ted Cruz also tweeted “how many more people have to die before Dems give a damn?”

Republican Tony Gonzalez (R-TX) also joined the crowd saying, “today in San Antonio it was 102 degrees. Imagine being abandoned inside an 18-wheeler left to die … will [Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas] even mention their names?”

The authorities claim that there have been 16 survivors from the unlucky truck which including four children. All of the survivors were rushed to nearby hospitals to get them treated for heat-related issues and illnesses.

Charles Hood who is the fire chief of the area stated that the survivors were immensely dehydrated and hot when touched.

“They were suffering from heat stroke and exhaustion,” said Hood. “It was a refrigerated tractor-trailer, but there was no visible working AC unit on that rig.”

The temperatures in San Antonio crossed 100 on Monday as the heat wave continues to surge the temperatures in the region. San Antonio is just 150 miles from the Mexico-US border and is popular amongst the smuggler as the transit route.

Human smugglers often trafficked migrants without documents into the soils of the United States of America through this route using large trucks and trailers.

The abandoned truck was discovered by city workers who heard cries for help coming from the 18-wheeler. The first emergency responders arrived at the scene around 6:00 pm.

The trailer was abandoned by the driver and when the emergency responders reached the scene, there was no water inside and the air conditioner was also not working.

Officers arrived at the abandoned scene to find bodies lying on the floor just outside the trailer. By night, the number of bodies lying on the ground had increased with many still inside the truck.

Three people have been taken into custody with connections to the fatal incident but it is still unknown what is their involvement in the whole smuggling attempt.

The Mayor of San Antonio Ron Nirenberg expressed his grief over the unfathomably sad news stating “they had families… and were likely trying to find a better life. It’s nothing short of a horrific, human tragedy.”
