According to the local police, a teenage gunman barged into a rural Texas elementary school killing at least 19 children and two adults.

Videos and pictures show parents desperately approaching the Robb Elementary School located in Uvalde, Texas where 19 kids lost their lives after a teenager opened fire.
The videos and scenes outside the school were horrific as parents were seen helplessly running toward the school after the news spread like wildfire through different social media platforms.
The shooter was an 18-year-old who was later on killed by the police while responding to the reports and reaching the crime scene stated the governor Greg Abbott in a news briefing on Tuesday.
Two police were also injured but the wounds are not in serious condition.
Governor Greg Abbott “We’re in the process of obtaining detailed background information on the subject, his motive, the types of weapons used, the legal authority to possess them, and conduct a comprehensive crime-scene investigation and reconstruction.”
One of the Facebook users wrote “This is horrific. I have a 9 almost 10 year old in the 4th grade and I can’t help but feel the need to bust thru those barriers and help them look for their babies .. This video cuts the heart deep .. Praying for all these parents that didn’t get to take their children home tonight. Praying for the injured and for the ones who witnessed all the horror.”
Eva Mireles, a teacher of grade 4 has been identified as one of the deceased. She received a heartfelt tribute from the parents of the students whom she taught.

This horrific incident once again intensified the debate over gun control and rights. President Biden’s government found itself in hot water once again as the people of America feel not much is being done against gun violence and these episodes continue to occur at regular intervals. This is the eighth mass shooting incident since the beginning of 2022.
The shooting incident comes days before Abbott and Senator Ted Cruz are expected to speak at the National Rifle Association to be held in Houston.
Texas is one of the few states which are aggressively pro-gun rights and allow their citizens to carry handguns without the need for a license.“I had hoped, when I became president, I would not have to do this, again,” a distraught President Joe Biden stated as he led national mourning, taking a vow to overcome the gun lobby in the US and define new parameters to tighten up the gun ownership licenses and laws.
