Walt Disney & Scarlett Johansson reached a settlement over the release of the infamous movie “Black Widow”, bringing an end to the infamous fiasco which hit the headlines across the world.

The dispute over the streaming rights of “Black Widow” converted into a major fiasco keeping the entertainment world indecisive over which side to choose.

Scarlett Johansson filed a lawsuit against Walt Disney in Los Angeles Superior Court about two months ago stating that the production house breached the contract regarding the streaming rights of the Marvel flick which deprived her of potential income.

The lawsuit stated “in the months leading up to this lawsuit, Ms. Johansson gave Disney and Marvel every opportunity to right their wrong and make good on Marvel’s promise. Disney intentionally induced Marvel’s breach of the agreement, without justification, in order to prevent Ms. Johansson from realizing the full benefit of her bargain with Marvel.”

The lawsuit started an ugly battle between the diva and Disney which exclaimed “the lawsuit had no merit whatsoever, especially sad and distressing in its callous disregard for the horrific and prolonged global effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.”

The two finally sorted their differences and pledged to continue working in the future while releasing a joint statement.

Scarlett Johansson stated “I am happy to have resolved our differences with Disney. I’m incredibly proud of the work we’ve done together over the years and have greatly enjoyed my creative relationship with the team. I look forward to continuing our collaboration.”

The Chairman of Disney studios content, Alan Bergman stated “he is pleased that we have been able to come to a manual agreement. We appreciate her contributions to the marvel cinematic universe and look forward to working together on a number of upcoming projects.”

Public spats between actors and production houses are common and sometimes they are part of strategies as well. But none of these past public spatters have been as big and rowdy as the one between Scarlett Johansson and Walt Disney. Thankfully it got resolved in time so the audience can continue to enjoy Johansson’s work through the platform of Walt Disney.
