Princess Charlene made an appearance with her 7-year-old daughter Princess Gabriella at the Monte-Carlo fashion week event, stunningly in a chic gown looking uber-beautiful. For the first time, she spoke about her health condition, her long battle with her illness, and shrugged off rumors of a rift with her husband Prince Albert.

Princess Charlene of Monaco admitted that her battle with illness has been “long, difficult and so painful.”

She stated that after her return to Monaco earlier in march, she has remained fragile and has been receiving treatment for physical exhaustion and profound emotional stress.

“When I returned to the Principality, I focused all my energy on my children, my husband, and my health because they are my priority,” Princess Charlene. “My state of health is still fragile and I don’t want to go too fast. The road has been long, difficult and so painful. Today I feel calmer.”

Princess Charlene first fell ill while on a visit to South Africa back in May 2021 while she was on a 10-day visit to her homeland. However, the complications from a previous ENT treatment made her remain grounded for six months. This was the beginning of a long-term battle of corrective surgeries, painful treatments, and a subsequent relapse which delayed her return back home further.

The couple has two children – 7-year-old twins Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella. Prince Albert and the children stayed behind in Monaco while Princess Charlene underwent the treatment, though they visited her on various occasions but her prolonged absence from Monaco resulted in her missing her 10th anniversary which led to rumors of a rift between the couple and potential separation.

The couple continued to deny the tabloids and the rumors as the truth was her speculations surrounding her mysterious illness which resulted in her staying out of the kingdom for so long.

Since her return to Monaco, a new rumor has surrounded the couple that Charlene is planning to leave the kingdom and has bought a home just outside Geneva, Switzerland. She addressed these rumors stating “You want to talk about rumors of divorce or my new home in Switzerland?”

“I still find it regrettable that certain media peddle such rumors about my life, my relationship,” she said. “Like everyone else, we are human beings and like all human beings we have emotions, weaknesses, only our family is exposed to the media, and the slightest weakness is relayed.”

Princess Charlene overly praised her husband of 10 years calling him “protective and very supportive.” She shrugged off the rumors of separation stating “We discussed these malicious articles together and he did everything to protect me and our children.”

“I’m very happy to be back home in Monaco and with my family. I received so many positive and warm messages when I was away from Monaco and I thank them for their support,” she said.
