The border crisis worsens after the latest announcement by President Biden that illegal immigrants are not required to be vaccinated against Covid-19 upon arrival in the United States of America.

Thousands of immigrants from nearby Haiti and other countries started to surge in the makeshift camps of the International Bridge in Del Rio, Texas to step onto the soil of the United States of America.

According to the latest reports, the makeshift camps at the border area are swelled by more than 10,000 migrants while thousands are seen in a line across the Rio Grande river daily. The immigrants include Haitians, Venezuelans, Cubans, and Nicaraguans at the moment.

President Biden recently announced that because of the overwhelming number at the borders and the surging number of coronavirus cases, which has exhausted the health institutions of America, the illegal immigrants won’t be vaccinated upon entry. The Border Patrol also said that they received the order and were relieved because of the insufficient space and time to cater to all the migrants upon their arrival in the United States.

Critics quickly joined the bandwagon to shame President Joe Biden for bringing in the virus on the soils of America. Senator Ted Cruz, the flamboyant Republican from Texas stated “it really is ridiculous. I’ve never seen anything like that. The drone footage started this morning, and people all across the country were horrified, and I guess the political operatives at the Biden White House saw that.”

The FAA stated, “the Border Patrol requested the temporary flight restriction due to drones interfering with law enforcement operations.”

Reuters published a report which stated that there has been an intense scarcity of food and water at the makeshift camp due to the overburdening of the immigrants from neighboring countries. The temperature is soaring to about 99 Fahrenheit, yet people are simply stacking themselves in these makeshift camps at the border.

Aerial drone images showcased the growing number of people at the camps. The transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg imposed a strict two-week flight restriction which banned drones in the respective area due to security concerns.

On the contrary, Greg Abbott, the governor of Texas ordered Texas National Guard and the State Troopers “to shut down six points of entry along the southern border.” While requesting the U.S Customs and Borders Protection to check into this matter as President Biden’s announcement has paved way for confusion.

‘The Biden Administration is in complete disarray and is handling the border crisis as badly as the evacuation from Afghanistan. I have directed the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Texas National Guard to maintain their presence at and around ports of entry to deter crossings,’ stated the governor.
