A prospective juror involved in last year sentencing of Parkland shooter Nikolas Cruz, told the judge earlier this week that she couldn’t find time to fulfill her jury duties as she is ‘married and have a sugar daddy.’
“I’m married, and I have my sugar daddy,” a prospective juror told a Florida judge this week in her bid to get out of serving on Parkland killer Nikolas Cruz’s death penalty jury,” Tweeted, FOX News journalist, Michael Ruiz
The woman who is only known as ‘Miss Bristol’, said in front of the Fort Lauderdale court Florida that she had ‘a lot of commitments’.
The woman is among one of the jurors who got to decide the fate of shooter Nikolas Cruz pleaded guilty last year in November on the count of “premeditated murder of 14 students and three members of the staff’s murder at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland on Valentine’s Day in 2018.”
The case is pending on the jury’s end to decide whether to punish the shooter with a life sentence or the death penalty.
The footage retrieved from the courtroom depicts Circuit Judge Elizabeth Scherer asking everyone in the room if they have any concerns.
‘Miss Bristol’ said,’This is a whole entire month.”
‘First of all let me clarify myself, July second is my birthday, July Fourth is my son, and the 18th is my other son.’ upon which Judge Scherer asked her to ‘speak lower’ and noted the dates.
The sentencing of the shooter will likely take place any time between June to September.
‘July seventh, July fourth, and July 18th,’ Miss Bristol replied.
And again, I need to figure out something.
‘I have my sugar daddy that I see every day’, to which the judge replied, ‘I’m sorry?’
Bristol repeated, ‘My sugar daddy.
‘I’m married, and I have my sugar daddy. I see him every day.’
Then the judge concluded by saying, ‘OK. All right. Ma’am, we’ll come back to you, OK? Thank you.’
Miss Bristol is among the jurors who were released this week on Monday. Judge Scherer said that “jury selection should take until about May 31”
