Oscars 2022 turned a clean leaf with a leap of a remarkable change with the hosts for the night.
The Academy awards confirmed that Amy Schumer, Regina Hall, and Wanda Sykes will be serving the role of hosts for the prestigious awards this year.
Many A-listed actors will be the readers for the awards along with the confirmed hosts.
“We want people to get ready to have a good time. It’s been a while,” said Regina Hall, Amy Schumer, and Wanda Sykes in a press statement.
“I’m not sure who thought this was a good idea,” Schumer added, “but I am hosting the Oscars, along with my good friend Wanda Sykes and Regina Hall. I better go watch some movies.
This will be the first time in history that the award ceremony will be hosted by three women solely.
There have been three hosts for the Academy Awards previously in 1987 when the hosts were Paul Hogan, Goldie Hawn and Chevy Chase.
According to the sources, the list of the hosts had been in talks with the producers of the awards for weeks now and was against the giants such as Pete Davidson and Jon Hamm.

It’s apropos that we’ve lined up three of the most dynamic, hilarious women with very different comedic styles,” said Packer. “I know the fun Regina, Amy and Wanda will be having will translate to our audience as well. Many surprises in store! Expect the unexpected!”
Thanks to the pandemic, the Academy Award ceremony has suffered miserably and it’s been three years since the award show had a proper event and host. The last time a comedian opened the show was Jimmy Kimmel back in 2018.
“Imagine having one of the funniest women in comedy today hosting the Oscars… Now, multiply that by three,” said Craig Erwich, the president of Hulu Originals and ABC Entertainment. “Regina, Amy, and Wanda are comedy powerhouses who will make history as the first female trio to host the biggest night in entertainment, and we’re thrilled to have them at the helm to deliver an incredible show full of unforgettable moments and laughter.” The Oscars 2022 are scheduled to be aired on ABC from Dolby Theater, Los Angeles on 27th march sharp at 8 pm.
