Nicolas Cage and his wife Riko Shibata are all set to welcome their first child together.
The 57-year-old actor will become a daddy for the third time while it will be his first baby with his wife Riko Shibata.
The famous actor and wife are believed to be expecting their first child together.
Nicolas Cage is already the father to 2 sons; 31-year-old Weston and 16-year-old Kal-El.
A representative of Hollywood confirmed the reports of pregnancy stating “the parents-to-be are elated!”
Cage and Shibata tied the knot on 16th February last year in a “very small and intimate wedding at Wynn hotel in Las Vegas.”
According to the Nevada marriage certificate, Riko Shibata opted for the surname of her husband; Cage, and the couple also applied for a license on 10th January.
Nicolas Cage revealed that Shibata struck her immediately and he realized very soon that they share a lot in common while discussing animals.
“We met in Japan and I thought she was stunning when I met her. We had a lot in common. She likes animals, too, so I asked her, ‘Do you have any pets?’ And she said, ‘Yes, I have flying squirrels.’ She had two sugar gliders … I thought, ‘That’s it. This could work out,’” he explained.
“She left New York and went back to Kyoto, Japan, and I went back to Nevada, and I haven’t seen her for six months,” he said at the time.
“We’re really happy together and we’re really excited to spend that time together, so I finally just said ‘Look, I wanna marry you and we got engaged on FaceTime.”
“I got her a black diamond engagement ring. Her favorite color is black, so she wanted the black gold and the black diamond. I customized and personalized it and I actually sent it to her FedEx.”
This is the first marriage of Shibata but it is the 5th for Nicolas Cage. He has been previously married to Lisa Marie Presley, Patricia Arquette, Alice Kim, and Erika Koike.
