The never-ending debate regarding white supremacy and racism across the soils of America takes another leap when a black professor hailing from New Jersey made astonishing comments regarding white Americans in a heated debate.
Brittney Cooper, who is an associate professor of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at the Rutgers University, New Jersey said “we gotta take these motherf—ers out” during an event which was hosted by The Root titled “Unpacking The Attacks On Critical Race Theory.”
Brittney Cooper further stated “like, the thing I want to say to you is we gotta take these mother—ers out. But, like, we can’t say that, right? We can’t say, like, I don’t believe in a project of violence. I truly don’t.”
Cooper made these harsh comments in response to a question made by Michael Harriot who is one of the senior reporters and writers at The Root. He had asked Professor Brittney Cooper that “what can be expected out of the white people from black Americans?”
Cooper also claimed that white Americans are not the true inhabitants of America. She states that she believes the white folks are not “eternal.”
She further commented “but I do fundamentally believe that things that have a beginning have an ending. All things that begin end. White folks are not infinite and eternal, right? They ain’t going to go for infinity and infinity. And that’s super important to remember that white colonialism and imperialism has a beginning. And in my way of thinking about the world, that means it has an end. Whiteness is going to have an end date because despite what white people think of themselves, they do not defy the laws of eternity.”
Brittney Cooper is said to be on a “sabbatical leave” from her responsibilities in a New Jersey based university for the term of 2021-2022.
The outburst of Cooper received mixed reviews from both races as the majority of Americans termed her comments as “an incitement of violence against the white Americans.”
