While some believe that the world is going towards the Covid end, the latest Covid contraction reports among the US elites have crushed the hopes of many Americans.

“U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi has tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently asymptomatic, her spokesman said on Thursday,” an authentic news source Tweeted.

Speaker of the United States House of representative Nancy Pelosi, 82 has reportedly contracted Covid, revealed her deputy chief of staff, Drew Hammill via a Tweet on Thursday.

The Tweet further reads that Pelosi is asymptomatic. The positive Covid test report came following testing negative a few days back, Hammill said.

On Wednesday, Nancy Pelosi shared a Tweet that showed a picture of her sitting with president Joe Biden.

“This afternoon, I was proud to stand with @POTUS and Members of Congress for the signing of the Postal Service Reform Act of 2022,” her Tweet reads.

On the other, Joe Biden, who tested negative for Covid on Wednesday, was not a close contact as said “as defined by the CDC,” states the White House.

“House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who was with President Biden Tuesday, tested positive for COVID today. However, Jen Psaki says their interaction didn’t meet the CDC’s definition of close contact,” Tweeted FOX News channel host, Sean Hannity.

Jen Psaki further confirmed it saying, the two were not close for less than 6 feet for 15 minutes.

“The president saw Speaker Pelosi at White House events and had brief interactions over the course of the last two days,” reads the White House statement. “He will continue to be tested regularly. The president wishes Speaker Pelosi a speedy recovery.”

Nancy Pelosi is the successor to the presidency after the Vice President.

A spokesperson for Pelosi said that she is fully vaccinated and had received her booster shot just last month.

Other US officials who have been tested positive this week include; Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo; Attorney General Merrick Garland; Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine; and representatives Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and Joaquin Castro, D-Texas. Hammill further added in his Tweet that a scheduled congressional delegation to Asia that Pelosi is leading will be postponed.
