It’s finally here! The MTV VMAs 2021 are back in full throttle after being reduced to mere numbers last year because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The MTV Video Music Awards will officially kick off on Sunday night at the prestigious Barclays Center in a crowd that is highly anticipating having a good show after returning to normalcy.

The much-awaited annual event will be hosted by the famous Doja Cat. The cat will be making history as the first-ever MTV VMAs host who is also nominated in one of the categories this year.

This year, a fierce competition is expected between Megan Thee Stallion and Justin Bieber to clinch the most awards in a night. Bieber is nominated for whooping 7 categories while Megan Thee Stallion was able to get nominated in six different categories.

BTS, Drake, Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X, Olivia Rodrigo, and Doja Cat are closely followed with 5 nominations each.

The winners of all the categories will be based upon the fans’ vote-outs.

The MTV VMAs 2021 will witness live performances from Camila Cabello, Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes, Olivia Rodrigo, Machine Gun Kelly, Lil Nas X, Normani, Ed Sheeran, Twenty One Pilots, Kacey Musgraves, and Chloe of the famous ChoexHalle.

Doja Cat who will be hosting the show stated that she is planning to perform on her hit single “kiss me more” which she has proudly claimed that the performance will be one of a kind and something which will be etched in the memories of her fans forever!

“I wanted to do something that was the almost polar opposite to what I’ve been doing for the last few years. I wanted to do something more contemporary, modern, that felt more than and more emotional and more heart-wrenching.”

The much-awaited night is here and MTV VMAs 2021 will be the awards which the industry has been waiting impatiently to feel normal after the long cameo by the coronavirus pandemic.
