Missouri: An unarmed pregnant black woman got shot 5 times by the police officials while trying to flee a suspected carjacking.

A horrified witness who covered this whole scene and recorded it in video footage exclaimed that she was horrified to death when the pregnant woman announced to the police that she is unarmed and pregnant, still, the cops shot at her 5 times.

“They shot her! Oh my God, they shot her!” the woman who made the video exclaims hysterically in the video after the cops shot at the woman multiple times.

The woman can be seen gasping “what the f–k!” in the video as the unarmed pregnant woman fell to the ground. “Oh my God, they shot her and they are still putting her in handcuffs!”

The incident took place on Friday night in Missouri, Kansas City.

The police also confirmed that 26-year-old Leonna Hale was shot by the police officials as a response to an armed carjacking crime that took place around 8 pm.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the male accomplice who was driving the car fled from the scene as the cops pulled over while Hale was shot multiple times as she also tried to flee the crime spot.

However, the other side of the story narrated by the eyewitness on her Facebook is that Hale had “put her hands up and was talking to them to show she didn’t have a weapon in her hand!!!”

The witness named Shédanja stated that the suspected woman had only refused to get down on the ground because she had stated to the police that she was pregnant.

“She was gonna cooperate, she got scared, she ran down there and they shot her … it ain’t right!” exclaimed the eyewitness in the video.

Shédanja however admitted that the suspected woman did warn the police that there was a gun in the car which was later on retrieved by the police but the woman did not pull out the weapon on the cops. She tried to cooperate as she was unarmed and scared.

“One, two, three, four, five. I remember it because it didn’t stop. They shot five times,” Shédanja said.

“I remember seeing her hit the ground and I froze,” she said while stating that she was accompanied by her sons aged 10 and 13 at the time of the gruesome incident and they were also traumatized from witnessing the shooting episode.

Joseph Mabin, the Kansas City Police Department’s Interim Police Chief stated that he and his officers “never want to be in this type of situation. This is a holiday weekend. It’s time for friends. Not a time for violence”
