Only a few weeks after winning an Emmy for Outstanding Period And/Or Character Hairstyling, stylist and makeup artist Marc Pilcher is reported dead by his agency. Curtis Brown Talent, the agency that represented Pilcher, confirmed the news for the public announcement to Variety earlier.

Coronavirus is determined to be the cause of the death of the late artist. Marc Pilcher was aged 53, known for his work on multiple hit projects, including Bridgerton, and Queen Mary of Scots, etc.

“It is with the deepest of hearts we confirm that Marc Elliot Pilcher, Academy Award nominee and Emmy Award winning hair and makeup designer/stylist, passed away after a battle with COVID-19 on Sunday 3rd October 2021,” confirmed his agency on behalf of his family and friends.

His early work involved many television projects as well as theatre jobs that eventually brought him to the renowned world of Hollywood and streaming platforms. They informed about his health saying that he was twice vaccinated, having no other underlying health conditions. In fact, they said Marc Pilcher was tested several times before reaching the Emmys ceremony in September.

Soon after getting back, however, Marc Pilcher became sick and his health worsened before he passed away on Sunday. Apart from this major Emmy win, he was known for his 2019 nomination in the Academy Awards for his work in  “Mary Queen of Scots.” His other famous and credible works include “The Young Victoria”, “Beauty and the Beast,” “My Week with Marilyn,” and “The Invisible Woman.” “So heartbroken by the loss of Marc Pilcher, the brilliant and visionary Hair and Makeup designer for Bridgerton Season One.” Said Bridgerton actress Nicola Coughlan via Instagram. Marc Pilcher is survived by his family, friends, and pet dog, Yuri.
