Kim Kardashian West took off like a storm at her very first Saturday night live hosting gig. In her monologue she addressed many of her and her family’s scandals, along with that, she also talked about OJ Simpsons and her divorce from West in a very comedic tone.
Kim opens her first hosting gig by talking about her ‘privileges and how she has made her mission to “getting wrongly accused people out of jail.” Following this, she talked about how her father, Robert Kardashian, inspired her and has influenced her to carry out social works. “M father was and still is such an influence and inspiration to me and I credit him with really opening up my eyes to racial injustice. It’s because of him that I met my first black person,” chuckled West.
Just after the previous statement, she called on OJ Simpson, “Want to take a stab in the dark at who it was?” She further added, “I know it’s sort of weird to remember the first black person you met but OJ does leave a mark — or several. Or not at all. I still don’t know.”
After roasting OJ Simpson, she moved on to talk about her divorce from Kanye West. She started by saying, he is the best, “of all time,” along with that, she also said, he is the richest black man in America and a talented genius who gave her four children.
She further added, “When I divorced him, you have to know it came down to just one thing: his personality. I know that sounds mean but people keep telling me that comedy comes from truth. And if there’s one thing that I always strive to be, it’s genuine.”
Well, this was not all, she also addressed her sex tape as well, “I mean actually, I only had that one movie come out and no one told me it was even premiering. It must have slipped my mom’s mind.”
Other than this, she also made a joke about the family’s failed political attempts referring to Caitlyn Jenner and her ex-husband. Later in the show, she took a u-turn at roasting OJ Simpson and her divorce from Kanye West.
All in all, according to the sources, it was an impressive performance by Kim Kardashian West.
