Kim Kardashian is all set to test her acting skills again! The keeping up with the Kardashians star has been announced to host Saturday Night Live in October.
She will be hosting the episode of October 9th, 2021 along with Halsey.
Saturday Night Live, the longest-running comedy show on NBC, announced the lineup of celebrity hosts for the 47th season. The prestigious list of hosts also included Owen Wilson. Rami Malek, Kacey Musgraves, Jason Sudeikis, and Brandi Carlile along with Kim Kardashian.
This will be the debut attempt of Kim Kardashian on Saturday Night Live along with Rami Malek and Owen Wilson.
Kim Kardashian celebrated the moment by reposting Saturday night Live’s post of the announcement on her Instagram.
The announcement of Kim hosting SNL is received with mixed reactions. Debra Messing, the Will & Grace star tweeted “why Kim Kardashian? I mean, I know she is a cultural icon, but SNL has hosted, generally, performers who are there to promote a film, TV show, or album launch. Am I missing something?”
Kim brushed the air and paid no heed to the critics. She was least bothered by the unwelcomed criticism and posted the news on her account with the caption “OMFG no turning back now!!! LOL, I’m hosting SNL!!!! @nbcsnl.”
According to a close source of Kim Kardashian, “Kim is very excited to host SNL and plans to poke fun at herself and the family. She has a great sense of humor.” The source further stated, “Kim takes everything she does very seriously and has already started preparing for the big night. Kim also has a lot of famous comedian friends she can lean on for help.”
Apart from hosting SNL, Kim Kardashian is also set to do the role of Delores for the new Paw Patrol animated film.
Saturday Night Live will return to tv screens on October 2.
