Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are finally pronounced man and wife! The high-profile couple tied the knot in a small private ceremony in Las Vegas after obtaining their license from Clark County, Nevada over the weekend.
The couple went ahead with a very small and intimate ceremony. According to an insider, “ it was super, super small. They just wanted to be married so they got married.”
After a wait of two decades, the couple finally got their “happy ending“.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck tied the knot in the little white wedding chapel after Lopez had revealed the gushing details about the proposal stating that Ben had got down on his knees while proposing as she took a bubble bath to relax.
The couple announced their engagement last year in April and since then have been inseparable.
J.lo had announced the engagement in her “on the JLO” newsletter flashing her beautiful green engagement ring and stating “you’re perfect.”
After the engagement the close friends of Jennifer had acclaimed that the singer had been “ecstatic” and “she believes it’s true love and was meant to be. She can’t wait to be his wife.”
“I was taken totally off guard and just looked in his eyes smiling and crying at the same time trying hard to get my head around the fact that after 20 years this was happening all over again,” she said. “I was quite literally speechless and he said, ‘is that a yes?’ I said ‘YES of course that’s a YES.'”
“Just a quiet Saturday night at home, two people promising to always be there for each other,” Jennifer further wrote. “Two very lucky people who got a second chance at true love.”
After much hoopla and waiting for more than 20 years, the couple finally walked the aisle on 17th July 2022. The duo first met back in 2003 on the sets of the film Gigli and had gotten very close to getting hitched after they got engaged for the first time in November of 2002. However, just after two years they drifted apart and called out their engagement in January of 2004.
Jlo shared the news of her marriage in her newsletter for her fans with the caption “we did it” she even changed her name initials and wrote “love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient.
