This is a big day for Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck!

In a brief video released to her website, the “Marry Me” actress gushed over her diamond ring, saying, “You’re Perfect.”

Before the video was released, Jennifer Lopez, 52, had shared a teaser on Instagram. The news was announced in a video posted with the description “Major announcement,” in which she said, “So I have a really exciting and special story to share.”

While out in LA this week, she was photographed sporting a green-hued ring similar to this one. According to People, the singer previously referred to green as her “lucky color.”

When Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez broke off their engagement in April of this year, the duo formerly known as “Bennifer” purchased a $50 million mansion in Bel-Air and started dating for the second time.

They originally started dating in 2002 and became engaged the following year, however the wedding was put on hold and they announced their breakup in January 2004.

According to reports, the 6.1-carat pink diamond in the pop singer’s initial engagement ring was valued at anywhere from $1.25 million to $2.5 million.

From 2004 until 2014, Lopez was married to Marc Anthony, while Affleck, 49, wed Jennifer Garner in 2005. In 2018, the couple ended their marriage by mutual consent.

In an interview with People, Lopez spoke about the extreme public attention the two received when they first started dating.

“It’s funny because Ben and I were together, and we were so in love,” the 52-year-old explained for Rolling Stone’s March 2022 issue. “It was one of the happiest times of my life. But also, there was this other thing happening where we were being criticized, and it really destroyed our relationship from the inside out, because we were just too young to understand at that time what were really the most important things in life.”
