After his daughter broke the news a week ago that her father had been sent to the hospital due to a “medical complication,” actor Jamie Foxx is still being treated there.

People magazine said that the actor, known for roles in movies including “Collateral” and “Ray,” was now being evaluated at a medical facility in Georgia.

Corinne Foxx, his daughter, issued a statement saying that her father had “experienced a medical complication” the previous week.

She continued by saying, “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.

The message was sent on behalf of the Foxx family on their Instagram account.

The message said, “We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”

The family was tight-lipped about the specifics of what had led to the health problem.

However, it has been verified by People that the event did not take place while Foxx was working on the set, and that he was not transported to the hospital by an emergency car.

According to a source who spoke to CNN, “They are running tests and still trying to figure out what exactly happened.”

In the forthcoming Netflix film Back in Action, which also stars Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close, Jamie Foxx has been in Atlanta working on the production.

The performance of the actor as artist Ray Charles earned him an Academy Award for Best Actor in 2005’s Ray. In the same year, he was also considered for the award for best supporting actor for his work in the film Collateral.

Baby Driver, Annie, and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 are some of the other films he has directed.
