According to a source who spoke with Fox News Digital, Gwyneth Paltrow will be testifying in a legal action relating to a ski accident that occurred in 2016.

Gwyneth Paltrow is being sued by a retired ophthalmologist for $300,000 who alleges that the actress skied into the ophthalmologist from behind at the Deer Valley resort. The optometrist claims that the incident occurred at the resort.

According to the lawsuit that was obtained by Fox News Digital, Terry Sanderson accused the founder of Goop of skiing off after the accident, which left him with a “permanent traumatic brain injury, 4 broken ribs, pain, suffering, loss of enjoyment of life.”

According to the complaint that was submitted in 2019, “Paltrow got up, turned and skied away, leaving Sanderson stunned, lying in the snow, seriously injured.” “A Deer Valley ski instructor, who had been training Ms. Paltrow, but who did not see the crash, skied over, saw the injured Sanderson and skied off, falsely accusing Sanderson of having caused the crash.”

As a result of a judge’s decision, Sanderson’s first allegation that she was the victim of a hit-and-run was thrown out, and the Deer Valley Resort as well as the instructor were removed from the complaint.

Paltrow has claimed that Sanderson really skied into her, and she alleges that she remained at the scene until the Deer Valley Resort ski instructor gave her the go-ahead to depart. The actress, who is now 50 years old, also said that Sanderson had claimed in the past that he did not have a distinct recall of the event.

She has responded by filing a counterclaim, in which she is requesting $1 in symbolic damages in addition to having her legal bills reimbursed. The trial of Paltow is scheduled to begin on March 21.
