Sheriff’s office of the Palm Beach Country has said that the Florida shooter who brutally killed a 1-year-old boy and his grandmother before turning the firearm on himself, had been behaving strangely lately and had previously expressed on social media his desire to murder people and children.
Timothy J. Wall, 55, is not thought to have come into contact with the child or his 69-year-old grandmother before shooting both of them late Thursday morning inside the Royal Palm Beach Publix supermarket, Sheriff Ric L. Bradshaw said at an afternoon press conference.
Bradshaw and other sheriff’s office officers reported the two victims entering the store at 11:07 a.m. Eastern Time, grabbing one of the shopping carts equipped with a vehicle for the youngster to play with, and starting shopping.
Major Michael of PBSO stated to the reporters that he was in possession of a golf putter. The Florida shooter was using it in the manner of a walking stick.
According to Michael Massari, the grandmother and her grandson enter the produce section around 11:30 a.m., while the suspect enters at 11:31 a.m.
Massari said that it is evident that his gaze was fixed on the victim and around 11:34 he drew his revolver and moved across… behind one aisle to the next, where the youngster was parked in his little shopping cart.
Massari said that the wall shoots one bullet at the boy, killing him.
According to evidence, Grandma leaps in immediately, attempting to stop the Florida shooter. She is at odds with him. His firearm jams, the lady falls to the ground during the scuffle, and Wall shoots her, Massari added.
Wall then kills himself by shooting himself in the head. At 11:35 a.m., police got their first 911 call.
Massari said that the Florida shooter was at the same Publix earlier that day at 9:02 a.m.
Investigators examined about 30 individuals after the incident, including witnesses and family members. Detectives have discovered no link between him and his victims.
Sheriff Bradshaw stated in a video chat with reporters that his investigations discovered Wall was behaving suspiciously and making dubious comments on his Facebook page.
