Famous rapper Drake released his new album “Certified Lover Boy” by making the big revelation on an Instagram post stating “CLB for your listening pleasure everywhere @2AM EST.”
The album release comes as a surprise among the fans, followers as well as music industry people. Benny Blanco, a music producer commented on Drake’s Instagram post stating “when u see a timestamp on a drake album u don’t even have to press play to know it’s outta here.”
Drake had announced the release of the album by January 2021 last summer but it kept on getting delayed due to many reasons, one of them being Drake’s knee surgery. Recently the famous rapper had stated that a lot of artists were making cameos in various tracks of his album JAY-Z, Travis Scott, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, 21 Savage, Young Thug, Kid Cudi, Ty Dolla Sign, Project Pat, and Lil Baby were among the prestigious list of album collaborators.
Drake also gave credits to Paul McCartney and John Lennon for especially sampling the Beatles writing credits for his track “Champagne Poetry.”
R. Kelly was also given credit for being a fellow lyricist on the album.
The “certified lover boy” will be following the 2018 album of Drake titled “Scorpion”.
Just a few hours after Drake’s dramatic announcement regarding the release of his latest album. Lil Nas X also posted that his new album “Montero” will be releasing soon on the 17th of September. 2021. The old town road rapper trolled Drake for taking away his cover and the shine for the release of his album.
Just a day before the release of the album, Drake released a few lyrics and features on the billboards across Los Angeles, Toronto, New York, and Chicago.
Although the album is supposed to be a follow to his 2018 album Scorpion, he has been working actively in between the releases of the two albums.
Drake had released a dark lane demo tape back last year. It was the first-ever project of Drake which couldn’t make it to no.1 debut on the billboard.
He has been collaborating with other artists on their work now and then. Drake joined Brent Faiyaz and Smiley for their songs as well as Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne for “Seeing Green.”
Drake collaborated with DJ Khaled, Lil Wayne, Future, Popcaan, and Lil Yachty over a few tracks.
He was awarded the Artist of the Decade award in the 2021 billboard music awards and also launched his very own brand related to cannabis.
