Erika Jayne admitted that she had spoken to her estranged spouse Tom Girardi a few months back, during the fourth segment of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion.
The 50 years old Pretty Mess author revealed to Andy Cohen, the show host, that she reached out to her husband, who is now 82, after she saw him in the pictures in August, looking thin and fragile.
“I just wanted to make sure he was safe,” said the Georgia native star who broke into tears while talking during the show that was recorded on Nov 3. “Because after the pictures came out, he looked so bad that I just wanted to make sure he was in the right place.”
In the August episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Erika stated to her fellow actors that she had not contacted her husband even after he called her multiple times after she got separated in 2020.
She said, “I have not talked to him, and I cannot talk to him,”
“He calls me every day. That’s another hard part of it. I had to ask my attorney to call his attorney to say, ‘Please stop calling Erika.'” she added.
In the reunion “Get It Tonight”, recorded in September, Erika claimed that her former husband was still trying to reach her out. She also said Tom even tried to contact her during the shooting of the four-part episode.
However, the singer described Tom’s declining condition as “very sad,”. She also told Andy that she questioned her husband about the uncountable bankruptcy lawsuit cases on his previous law organization, Girardi Keese.
“I’ve asked him how he could put me in this position,” said Erika,53.
“[I asked], ‘Why would you leave me with millions of dollars of lawsuits pointed at me?’” she added.
During the recording, the Broadway star also said that her husband is no longer capable of understanding what’s happening around him as he was diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer’s in the first quarter of the year.
The singer alleged, “Andy, he doesn’t even acknowledge anything.”
“None of it. It doesn’t even matter what he says because he’s incompetent. So I’m left holding the f—king bag.” Later, Erika denied having any knowledge regarding his former husband’s business. As per her, If she had known something, she would have never taken up RHOBH.
