The 73rd Emmy Awards took place last night with all its glitz and glamor. One of the most prestigious awards in the TV industry was held with its usual zeal and zest after taking a small hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic last year.
Cedric the Entertainer was the host of the show which was broadcasted live on Paramount and CBS from Los Angeles.
Ted Lasso from Apple Tv+ came out as a true winner with 13 nominations of the night while bagging four out of them. Netflix’s The Crown which came into the night with a whopping 11 nominations – came out as a clear winner of the night by bagging 7 wins.
Debbie Allen was given the Governor’s award in 2021.
The lead actress in a comedy series award went to Jean Smart from her role in Hacks aired on HBO.
