Earthquake hits near the coast of Nicaragua – no damage has been reported yet [Breaking News]

MANAGUA, Nicaragua – a 6.5 magnitude earthquake banged near the coastal area of Nicaragua today, Sept 21 – reported the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC)

The earthquake that came at a depth of 30 kms felt at around 4:57 am, GMT 0957 today, 78.2 kms (48.5 miles) in the Pacific Ocean, off the coastline of  Jiquilillo – beach resort.

There have been no reports of collateral damage, also the country has not issued any Tsunami warnings yet.
