Dominic Fike is finally churning new music all thanks to his role in the hit HBO series Euphoria.
The 26-year-old breakout star, Dominic Fike announced that he will release “Elliot’s song” on 4th March 2022. He stated that the song is written by Zendaya and is composed by the series music composer, Labrinth.
Elliot’s song was a part of the famous show Euphoria. It was the first time playing in the eighth episode of the show behind an emotional scene where the character Elliot played by Dominic Fike pulls out a guitar to play the emotional track after the character makes amends with the character of Zendaya.
“You and my guitar / I think you may be my only friend / I gave it all to see you shine again / I hope it was worth it in the end,” he sang in the episode.
Dominic Fike announced the release of the track on his official Instagram this Wednesday along with the cover art for the song. He stated that “we made the song shorter… ‘Elliot’s Song’ with @zendaya this Friday.”
The length of the song joke got Fike and in no time he had provided the ideal meme content to the internet trolls. He was the center of attention for several memes across different social media platforms.
One of the Twitter users trolled the singer saying “All the questions left unanswered bc Euphoria writers wrote in Elliot singing for 27 minutes. Ok.”
Fike accepted his fate as a meme material and gracefully accepted that on his stories on Instagram the following at. He said “the internet remains undefeated. I am humbled.”
The music composer Labrinth also wrote about the thought process and the creativity behind Elliot’s song during the featurette “enter euphoria.”
“Me and Zendaya were actually sitting in each other’s kind of spiritual energy and space,” he said. “And we’re getting to inspire each other to make something fresh.”
“Dominic came in and jumped on the score pieces we were working on and played some guitar because he’s a great guitarist,” Labrinth added. “The cast is not just acting, they’re part of the music now.”
Apart from Elliot’s song, another song by Labrinth and Zendaya called “I’m tired” from the series “Euphoria” will be released on all the major social media platforms.
