Diamond, one half of the pro-Trump entertainment combo Diamond and Silk, passed away on Monday night, according to an announcement made by both the former president and Diamond and Silk’s verified Twitter account. Her age was 51.

According to their book “Uprising,” which was published in 2020, both of the ladies,  Rochelle Richardson and Lynette Hardaway, were born in 1971.

Former President Donald Trump announced on his Truth Social platform that “our beautiful Diamond of Diamond and Silk has just passed away at her home in the state she loved so much, North Carolina.” He referred to her passing as “really bad news for Republicans“.

It isn’t determined what caused her death. Trump said that “Diamond’s death was totally unexpected.”

The following was posted on the pair’s official Twitter account:  “The World just lost a True Angel and Warrior Patriot for Freedom, Love, and Humanity!”

Late in the month of November, the Twitter account for Diamond and Silk sent a message asking for prayers for Diamond. It was not quite clear why. “Anyone who believes in the power of prayer please pray for Diamond,” it said.

According to the autobiographical work “Uprising,” the sisters’ upbringing was described as “poor,” but they did not lack status, taste, or an anchor in a piece of the lush land of the Deep South. This is because their father’s father and grandparents were landowning farmers. The two ladies gained widespread attention during Donald Trump’s campaign for the presidency in 2016 when they posted pro-Trump comments on their YouTube channel. The two individuals have said that the only reason they became Republicans after being lifetime Democrats is to support Trump after his declaration of his presidential candidacy in 2015.
