One person is dead and one is wounded following a gunshot at a Dallas hotel on Saturday morning, Dallas police say.
According to a statement from Dallas Police Department, police responded to a gunshot incident on 4154 Preferred Place at the Ari Motel soon before 3 a.m.
Dallas Police said that they at the scene discovered that two persons were hit by gunshots during the incident.
One victim was a 53-year-old male who was transferred to a nearby hospital where he took his last breath.
The second victim, a 37-year-old guy, was brought to a nearby hospital and remains in severe condition.
According to authorities, no arrests have been made as of now. Police said they are checking through hotel surveillance video in an effort to identify shooting suspects.
“At this time, I can confirm one individual was shot and transported to a local hospital where they died from their injuries,” the Dallas Police Department stated to ABC News. “Multiple individuals were also shot and injured during this incident. This is an active investigation and information is limited.”
