The outbreak of coronavirus has affected even the most powerful nations in the worst way possible. The United States of America is one of them and the country still suffers from the pandemic greatly.

March, April, and May of 2020 have been the worst months for most countries facing the pandemic. The cases kept rising and no cure was in sight, not to mention the terrible hit that the economies took.

The U.S faced the loss of over 250,000 lives as well as the loss of over 53 million jobs. The State of New York has been the epicenter of coronavirus cases since the beginning and many have died of the virus.

After the first wave, the virus has begun to spread rapidly again as soon as winter arrived. The coronavirus cases are surging once again and things have become more uncertain yet again.

To protect the people, the US government has made a list of SOPs that are necessary to be followed. A few of them are social distancing, wearing masks, using sanitizers, etc.

However, these rules have recently been blatantly rebelled against in the state of New York. A wedding was held ‘secretly’ at a Hasidic synagogue in New York.

Around 7,000 people attended the wedding in secret and none of them seemed to be maintaining any distance or wearing any masks. The wedding was held even though it was against the rules to be followed until the pandemic is over.

In a news conference, New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo said that the gathering was a violation of the law. He further mentioned that it was disrespectful to the people of New York.

The wedding was jam-packed in a closed setting and it is a clear violation of the safety restrictions. Cuomo claims that the event could have been a super-spreader of coronavirus which is the last thing New York wants right now.

The wedding was held regardless of the huge threat of the terrible pandemic and thousands of people were singing and dancing. To this, Cuomo said that the law is there to protect the people of New York and it should be followed strictly.
