Police in Columbus are looking into a killing on the city’s north side.

Officers responded to the Cleveland Avenue’s 5100 block of on Saturday about 8:26 p.m. to aid with an unconscious person, according to police. When doctors came, they requested police assistance after seeing the sufferer, a lady, had sustained some form of trauma.

The victim was transported to Riverside Medical Center, and she died around 9 p.m.

In connection with the case, a suspect has been apprehended.

According to the police, The event seems to be connected to a domestic problem. At this moment, neither the victim nor the suspect’s names have been disclosed.

This is the 193rd murder in Columbus in 2021.

Another person was killed and another was badly wounded in a shooting on Columbus’ Singer Drive.

Homicide detectives and Crime scene investigators from the Columbus Police Department went to the area Saturday night. At least 35 evidence markers were discovered by our team on the spot.

Kyron Sharp, 22, of Phenix City, has been identified as the dead victim. According to the Muscogee County Coroner’s Office, he died around 8:37 p.m.
