Francis Lacis of Oral Roberts and Anna Dreimane of Texas A&M, both have been dating since 2016. They are the power couple in the truest sense of the word.
Texas A&M women’s basketball team is waiting for the results of their COVID-19 tests so they can proceed in the tournament. The senior center Anna Dreimane in the meantime has an opportunity to watch the matches of her beau who plays for Oral Roberts.
Both players belong to Latvia and used to play for the same basketball club there. They were not friends, but it all changed after a New Year’s Eve Party in 2016 which was organized by one of Dreimane’s teammates. In a matter of three months, they were a couple and have been going steady since then.
Now, both are playing for Indianapolis and San Antonio respectively, and rooting for each other to win the national championship.
Dreimane once stated, “We’re definitely each other’s biggest cheerleaders”.
Dreimane and Lacis have maintained their long-distance relationship since they started playing for their respective teams in the U.S.
They did spend some time together last summer at home but as they returned to the U.S. for the basketball season, they have managed to get together only twice.
Most of the time they communicate via FaceTime to motivate each other but they talk mainly about their first love – BASKETBALL.
Dreimane is part of an Aggies team that finished the regular season 23-2, winning the SEC regular-season title. They are one of the favorites to win the national championship for a second time.
Lacis attends a small Christian school in Tulsa, Oklahoma whereas Dreimane studies in a college station in Texas which is almost eight hours away.
They both have managed to maintain a healthy relationship while excelling in their careers.
They both support each other. They have a passion for basketball and are always there to answer each other’s queries regarding sports, work, and love.
