COVID-19 has brought a major effect on businesses and many companies had to find different ways to survive. The pandemic has equally affected the sailing business as it did to other businesses.
Carnival Cruise Line has been affected by the pandemic in such a manner, that it had to sell two ships and lay up two more ships to survive this pandemic. It has also been affirmed by the company that a second ship will be accepted in November 2022.
Regarding the update about the reopening of the cruise, Carnival Cruise Line declared that the homeports of some ships will be altered while many trips will be called off.
The Cruise Line is planning on improving their features and performance while minimizing the capacity. In this way, it will be able to focus on making the service better. Concerning this matter, Carnival Inspiration and Carnival Fantasy have been sold out. The company didn’t mention the time of their return.
Traveling via Carnival Fascination from Barbados and San Juan has been called off for the year 2020 to 2021. This cruise line is aiming to come back and restart its operations in America.
The company has canceled the cruising for Carnival Inspiration and Carnival Imagination until April 2021. Carnival Panorama will continue to cruise seven days a week. Carnival Cruise Line has cut down the operations of Carnival Miracle to a shorter time.
The previously assigned itineraries to Carnival Fascination and Carnival Fantasy have been reassigned to Carnival Sensation. Passengers booked on these ships will be transferred to Carnival Sensation for the cruise from Miami to Mobile. For the cruise, the guests will be reassigned to Carnival Sunrise. This ship is quite larger and has a lot of advanced features in it. There is no reassigning planned for Carnival Sunrise till March, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Carnival Cruise Line.
The company had confirmed a second unnamed ship to be delivered in November of 2022. This is considered to be the sister of Mardi Gras. It has all the features of Mardi Gras along with some new features.
