Four different suspects involved in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, hailing from Maine and New Hampshire are all currently either on bail or defending their involvement on the day of. Jason Daniel Riddle, Kyle Fitzsimons, Thomas Gallagher, and Nicholas Patrick Hendrix. Here’s what each of them is charged with and what their current bail or case status is.

Jason Daniel Riddle

Riddle was arrested from Bedford, New Hampshire, currently on personal recognizance bail, awaiting his sentence. Riddle has already pleaded guilty to all his charges during the Capitol riot, including theft of government property; parading, demonstrating, or picketing in any of the Capitol buildings.

Kyle Fitzsimons

Fitzsimons about whom, a judge said, “You are like a bomb waiting to go off” while rejecting his bail request was arrested from Lebanon, Maine. Fitzsimons is the only one in all four of the defendants from NH or Maine to be denied bail, awaiting trial while in federal custody. Charges against him include; civil disorder, inflicting bodily injury on certain officers’ obstruction of an official proceeding, the act of physical violence in the Capitol grounds or buildings, entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, engaging in physical violence in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly conduct in a Capitol building; and disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds. Fitzsimons has pleaded not guilty, his upcoming trial on April 4 has been requested to be rescheduled by prosecutors.

Thomas Gallagher

Arrested from Bridgewater, in New Hampshire, Gallagher has been charged with; disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building, violent entry and disorderly conduct in a Capitol building, entering and remaining in a restricted building along with parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building. He was sentenced on Oct. 13 of 2021, with 60 hours of community service, a $500 restitution payment as part of the $1.5 million property damage on the Capitol grounds during the Capitol riot, in addition to 2 years of probation.

Nicholas Patrick Hendrix

Originally from Portland, Maine, where he was also arrested in May of last year, Hendrix is also currently on personal recognizance bail. Hendrix was identified in a crowd of rioters via a photo taken from his own phone, in which the FBI recognized him wearing an inappropriate T-shirt with the words “Biden Sucks Kamala Swallows,” written on it during the Capitol riot. Charges against Hendrix include; violent entry and disorderly conduct on capitol grounds, parading, demonstrating, or picketing in any of the Capitol buildings, knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds.
