Britney Spears is welcoming the new year with an Instagram cleanse!

The Toxic singer does not seem to be on good terms with sister Jamie Lynn Spears as she unfollowed her on Instagram – Elle magazine reported.

However, it is yet to be determined whether the younger one has also removed her sister from her social media or not.

Currently, the American singer, dancer, and songwriter is following fiancé Sam Asghari, Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga,

Tinashe, Paris Hilton, Miley Cyrus, and Madonna, and all those who supported the star during the #FreeBritney movement.

Jamie Lynn, 30, showed immense support for her sister via an Insta post during the conservatorship matter.

However, later that month, Britney Spears called out those who did not support her during the legal matters, which some believed included her sister as well.

In November 2021, the American singer got freedom from the conservatorship.

Last weekend, Spears posted a reel of birds fleeing its cages, symbolizing the 40-years-old songstress freedom from conservatorship.

“SYMBOLIC of my year this year !!!!!⁣” captioned the Toxic singer.

Meanwhile, sibling Jamie Lynn posted a series of pictures to promote her forthcoming memoir, “Things I Should Have Said,” which will be out on January 18.

“Dear, You tried your damnedest… bless your heart ♥️,” wrote the 30-years-old “Sweet Magnolias” star. “Hoping 2022 brings nothing but healing, love, peace, and happiness to you all- wishing every[one] a safe and Happy New Year”- she continued.

As per the reports from Page Six, sister Jamie Lynn, following receiving backlash from Britney’s fans, changed her book’s title. The book, previously titled “I Must Confess, was taken from Britney’s 1998 debut single, …Baby One More Time.”

“We deeply regret that incorrect and incomplete information about her book has appeared in the public space, particularly at this sensitive time for Jamie Lynn and her family,” said Jamie Lynn’s Worthy Publishing through her Instagram when the “as-yet-untitled memoir” was “still in development.”

Prior to ending the conservatorship, Spears publicly called out Jamie Lynn for performing on her songs during the Radio Disney Music Awards.

Not doing music anymore is my way of saying ‘F–k You’ in a sense when it only actually benefits my family by ignoring my real work,” wrote the star the following month.
