The “Toxic” singer and the fitness model have married after five years of dating. On June 9, the couple had a ceremony in Los Angeles.
Britney Spears donned a gown designed by Donatella Versace, whom she had teased as the designer of her wedding dress. According to E! News, she went down the aisle to the song “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley. The insider says the dress had an off-the-shoulder cap sleeve and a deep V-shaped split down the leg.
Stephanie Gottlieb’s jewelry and Charlotte Tilbury’s makeup completed Britney’s wedding appearance.
Though her two boys and parents weren’t there, Paris Hilton and Drew Barrymore joined her for the event.
Britney, 40, and Sam, 28, have tied the knot nine months after announcing their engagement. She met the Black Monday actor on the sets of “Slumber Party” music video in 2016.
A third source informed E! News at the time of the couple’s engagement that Sam had “been dying to propose” and that he proposed to Britney Spears at her home in Thousand Oaks, California. After working with Roman Malayev, the creator and master jeweler of the Forever Diamonds NY jewelry company, Sam proposed to Britney by giving her a 4-carat diamond ring inscribed with the phrase “Lioness”—his nickname for her.
“It was very private and romantic, everything she wanted,” another source reported. “Britney has told Sam that he is her soul mate and that she is so grateful to have him, especially during these hard times.”
Prior to her court struggle with her father Jamie Spears to dissolve the 13-year conservatorship, Britney Spears complimented Sam for being there for her in an Instagram post. “Not only has this cute a–hole been with me through the hardest years of my life but he happens to be an extremely good cook!”
Britney’s conservatorship was revoked by a court in November, and he tweeted in favor of the decision, “History was made today. Britney is Free!”
When Britney Spears and Sam revealed in May that they had “lost our miraculous baby” early in Britney’s pregnancy, Sam was a source of comfort for her. “We are taking things positively and moving forward with our future,” Sam said. “It’s hard but we are not alone.”
After her conservatorship ended, a source close to Sam told E! News that Britney Spears was looking forward to starting a fresh life with her new lover.
