Britney Spears’ ex-husband, Jason Alexander, has been convicted of stalking charges!
Jason Alexander, who was popularly known for marrying the singer for 55 hours, in 2004 has been pleaded guilty to misdemeanor stalking violating the court’s order to approach an unidentified woman.
“Britney Spears’ ex-husband Jason Alexander arrested for stalking”, Page Six Tweeted.
The 40-year-old’s arrest news was first issued by US Weekly, earlier this week. Reportedly, the authorities held him at Williamson County Jail, Franklin, Tennessee, before Monday’s court trial.
Following Jason Alexander’s guilty plea, Kim Helper, the District Attorney General Kim, reported that he would be punished with eleven months and twenty-nine days probation and would undergo random drug testing and mental health screening.
The accused has been ordered to stop approaching the female victim with whom he had an unclear relationship.
Following the last week’s arrest news, Alexander posted a series of pictures on Instagram that showed him outside Spears’ mother, Lynne’s home in Kentwood, Louisiana.
‘It looks like there are some people there now. The mom’s there, anyway,’ he said in one video, according to a news outlet.
Jason Alexander and Britney Spears dated back in 2004 and their controversial marriage that lasted for 55 hours also happened the same year. Allegedly the couple was partying in Las Vegas the whole night before getting married. However, the court annulled the marriage in three days with the statement that, “Spears lacked understanding of her actions”.
Reportedly, the two had been love birds since school. However, their love relationship also ended with the marriage annulment. Later, Alexander said in an interview that, “Spears’ mother interfered and tricked me into signing divorce papers for the sake of Britney’s career”.
The past year, Alexander has had several altercations with the law as he was arrested in January for drug and DUI possession and was detained for trespassing at an airport.
Meanwhile, the toxic star seems to enjoy life after the conservatorship matter as she was previously seen celebrating her birthday with fiancé Sam Asghari and now she is rumored to be preparing to release a song. The Independent reported last year, that Alexander uploaded his images attending the controversial “Save America” rally that ended up in the Jan 6 Capitol riot. Later that year he was also seen attending the #FreeBritney protest.
