During the Ellen DeGeneres show, the Bridgerton star opened up about her opinions regarding her fierce role as Kate. She told the show host, Tiffany Haddish that she loves her character ‘for being opinionated and controversial’, and admires Kate Sharma for ‘breaking the rules.’
In Ellen DeGeneres’ Thursday episode, Simone Ashley can be captured saying, ‘I like the fact that she’s [Kate] not a people pleaser, and she wasn’t afraid to be opinionated and controversial; break the rules a little bit.
‘I mean she was there to protect her sister and I wanted to stay true to that throughout the whole story.’
The actress further hilariously revealed to Tiffany Haddish that they often had to feed her pet Newton, ‘sausages to get him to do his scenes at times.’
