Laundrie, 23, is still missing as the case develops and new witnesses are found. Norma Jean Jalovec, a Florida resident who was in Wyoming around August has come forward to say she also gave Brian Laundrie a lift on August 29th, during the early hours of the night, and dropped him off at Spread Creek camping area. This is the same location where Petito’s body was recently discovered.
The parents of Brian Laundrie, told police they haven’t seen him since September 14. The search for the man of interest, not yet accused, continues as police patrol areas near his Florida home almost constantly. There has been no concrete evidence of murder but the case is still being investigated as a homicide as Petitio’s body is still under post mortem investigation. Other details and developments in the case have been nothing short of disturbing.
“I picked him up…” Jelovec said. “… Something just said, ‘Hey, ask him where he’s going.'”
This comes almost a week after the first woman witness, Miranda Baker, came forward about giving him a ride. After Petito was reported missing on September 11th, Baker posted a TikTok on September 17th giving details about how she and her boyfriend gave Brian Laundrie a lift around 5:30 p.m. on August 29th. Both witnesses claim to have seen Laundrie hitchhiking on that August day, and both seem to have given him a lift.
“Everything’s legitimate. Everything’s corroborated. I already talked to the FBI,” said Norma Jean Jalovec, who admitted to not knowing about the case at the time when she met him. After they reached the camping site where Jalovec dropped Brian Laundrie off, she offered to drive him inside when she claimed he refused and tried to get out of the moving car. Officials are still hard at work, searching for Laundrie as there is no other person of interest yet.
