The pioneer of early Television, Betty White’s last photo before death has been revealed on what could have been her “100th birthday“.!
American actress and comedian Betty White’, who departed for her final journey on New Year’s Eve, would have turned 100 on Monday. In honor of the day, White’s assistant unveiled one of the last photos of the iconic actress.
“On this special day, I wanted to share this photo of Betty,” wrote Kiersten, Betty White’s assistant on Facebook, in the caption of the photo that saw White smiling. With the post, Kiersten revealed to the fans that the photo was taken just 11 days before her death.
“I believe it’s one of the last photos of her,” Kiersten added. “She was radiant and beautiful and as happy as ever. Thanks to all of you who are doing kind things today and every day to make the world a better place.”
To pay homage to the legendary actress, fans spent her Birthday donating money for animal welfare as part of the #BettyWhiteChallenge. The profoundly devoted to animals’ lady, White herself spent her 99th birthday feeding the ducks to whom she used to visit daily.
Betty White had advocated for animal justice and wildlife conservation for a long time.
Kiersten also shared how she got a heartwarming response from the animal shelters for receiving significant donations.
“Many have donated to Sweetpea Friends of Rutland Animals in Betty’s name,” a Facebook page commented. “They are in process of a rebuild after a devastating fire. A true no-kill shelter.”
A female board member of Stephens County Humane Society said, “we have received soooo many donations in honor of Betty.”
Meanwhile, the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society wrote, “Today has been absolutely remarkable. We don’t even have the words to describe how deeply moved we are from thousands of individuals giving what they could to help animals — in honor of you, Betty White”.
“We’re heartbroken that you aren’t here to see just how powerful your voice and your actions are. … Thank you for being a friend to so many animals, and THANK YOU for inspiring others to help improve the lives of animals as you had done.” The Golden Girls actress was really looking forward to her 100th birthday as she Tweeted.
